My most popular service. Sustained and detailed support as you write your book. Fiction or non-fiction. Choose this service whether you need help with plotting/structure, characterisation, language, or any combination of these. Prices start at £2,000 for the full service including both plot work and language work, and £1,000 for plot OR language work. I can also offer a no-commitment hourly rate.
I can write a report on your completed book. I have only written reports on fiction books though would consider writing a report on a non-fiction book. I require a chapter/scene breakdown so that I can see your intentions, though I can guide you in how to write this. Priced at around £500. Email if you would like to read an example report.
Ready to submit your book to agents? Fiction or non-fiction. While I cannot advise you on which agents to approach, I can help you perfect your synopsis and your submission letter. Priced at around £150.
I am a self-taught proofreader, and proofread all of my James Anders Banks novels and my James Anders Banks non-fiction book. Read the books and judge for yourself, but I believe you are unlikely to find any errors in these books; certainly writer friends who have read the books have pointed out no errors. Fiction or non-fiction. Pricing depends on the quality of the work: a book full of sentences that barely make sense may take ten times as long (made up figure!) to proof as a well-written book, so send me a sample.
Perhaps you lack the time to sit down and write a novel in the conventional sense. Possibly you suffer from RSI or some other condition. You can write a novel by dictating into WhatsApp or any other voice recording service and sending me the recordings. I’ll type them up, and ensure the sentences and paragraphs read well. So it’s a typing and editing/proofing service in one.
